NAPICU Quality Improvement of the Year Award
The theme of the NAPICU conference this year is Quality Improvement (QI) and consequently the conference will have QI projects of the year. QI is ensuring health care is safe, effective, patient-centred, timely, efficient and equitable. The project should be evidence based and should include the three core components of QI:
- Systematic way to tackle complex problems
- Always evolving and learning
- Engaging people at all levels to achieve the improvement you’re looking for
The submissions for the QI projects of the year should include a description of project, discuss the evidence base and include the 3 core components of QI. The closing date for submissions is Friday 13th July 2018.
Returning in 2018:
We are delighted to announce the NAPICU Poster Session will return again for 2018 and will be displayed in the Exhibition Area, Babbage, Holywell Park, Conference Centre. Poster presenters will be given the chance to network with fellow delegates and judges at the Interactive Poster and exhibition session on Thursday 6th September 2018 at 16.45.
Do you have a completed piece of work relating to Psychiatric care in PICUs or LSUs? Would you like to present your findings?
Poster presentations should consist primarily of the work of the authors and can include completed research, audit or practice related projects. For full information and guidelines click here.
There will be a prize of a £100 prize and an invitation to publish their work in the Journal of Psychiatric Intensive Care. The closing date for submissions is Friday 13th July 2018.
