Faisil is a Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychiatric Intensive Care at the Maudsley Hospital in London (South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust).

Faisil is on the Executive Committee of NAPICU and on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Psychiatric Intensive Care. 

His clinical, service development and research interests include: PICU clinical standards, women’s PICU, rapid tranquilisation and the management of acute disturbance, personality disorder, mental health law and the criminal justice interface.
