Peter is the Chief Pharmacist for Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust.  He has been a specialist pharmacist in psychiatry for over 25 years, and is the former chairman of the United Kingdom Psychiatric Pharmacy Group and is a Fellow of the College of Mental Health Pharmacy.

Peter strongly supports the use of evidence to guide the best use of pharmacological treatments in psychiatry, and the avoidance of undue influences leading to the poor use of drug treatments for people with mental health problems.
