Providing high quality physical healthcare is a challenge when caring for PICU patients. It is well recognised that physical morbidity is high, and life expectancy low, in psychiatric patients. PICU patients often have untreated or undertreated physical health issues due to poor insight into being unwell, poor treatment compliance, and difficulties accessing physical healthcare in the community.
