NAPICU and the British Association of Psychopharmacology (BAP) are working together to produce Evidence Based Guidelines for the Clinical Management of Acute Disturbance (De-escalation and Rapid Tranquillisation). Following the Experts’ Consensus Day Meeting in London in June 2017, work is now fully underway to draft the guideline.
Dr Faisil Sethi (NAPICU Vice Chairman) said: this is an exciting project between two leading organisations. In 2018, we hope to provide practical and up-to-date guidance in this most challenging of clinical areas. Our aim is to advance clinical practice and support patients and clinicians fully.
